God didn’t design the workplace to be devoid of him. He designed it to be a place to show him off and for us to use the workplace as an opportunity for us to live out everything we’ve learned at church on Sunday.
When you are actually treating other people the way you want to be treated, you are honoring them by being excellent and because you’re being excellent, people are going to be willing to want to listen to you and to want to know why you’re doing what you’re doing and then that gives you the opportunity to talk about the gospel and to talk about why you are motivated to serve the way that you are.
If you look at others as heirs of the kingdom, if you look at them as equals before God, if you look at them as image beaters before the most holy God, you’re going to have a different perspective and that’s going to change the how you can have the office dynamic going on in your workplace
What you’re really trying to do here is to create a culture in your organization that is going to sustain the value system that you hold dear. You have to be intentional about that and not just the vision you have moving forward but the values you want to have with your business. How will you do things in a way that’s really going to bless other people around you?
God really cares enough about the business world to say that there needs to be a resource to speak into this. He does not take a vacation Monday to Saturday. He’s involved with what we do and He wants His word to apply to that world as well.
